Mental health support

The SEND Code of Practice (2014) stresses early, tailored mental health support for learners with SEMH needs. Schools must work with families and specialists to provide strategies, interventions, and a nurturing environment—building resilience, reducing barriers, and ensuring emotional well-being underpins academic and social success.
